DRIFTING

After getting my racing license and trying to find out what I wanted to do with it, I thought it would be good for me to go drifting. So I did, I went to Testcentrum Lelystad with Rensportschool Zandvoort. We started with a little briefing about what we were gonna do that day.

In the morning I learned how to drift a single corner and a cirkel. In the beginning I was struggling, because I either didn't drift at all or I spun. Even though this is normal in the beginning, it was quite frustrating. After a while I got the hang of it and I was in my own world. It was far from perfect but that didn't matter, I was having fun.

Then after lunch the instructors made a little track with different corners. We all drove one by one and in the beginning the instructors got in the car and helped all of us with it. Eventually I drove it on my own and everyone was basically getting in eachothers cars. My mom joined me several times and she loved it. A friend of mine was also taking the drift course, we joined eachother in the car and we also learned from one another. The instructors and the guys from the Car Rental also joined after a while and there were only laughs.
It was such a fun day with everyone, we were all just playing with cars and I felt like a little kid again. Ofcourse I did learn a lot that would not only be helpful on the track, but also on the road.
